Lilly Trewartha x Lumière Lodge

Lumière Lodge adds to their bespoke accomodation offering, announcing three unique dining experiences with celebrated Chef Lilly Trewartha.

The arrival dinner

A deliciously simple three course meal, pre-prepared and ready for guests to enjoy when they check-in to Lumière Lodge. Taking care of finding a first dinner, guests can settle in by the roaring fire and take in the details of the home with bubbles, oysters and fresh, seasonal dishes.

The Lumière Luxury

Lilly Trewartha will host a full-service, multi-course dinner at Lumière Lodge, showcasing the best local produce of the season, prepared in Lilly’s signature Japanese-inspired style.

The Hobart Sunday

Part city tour, part cooking class and catered lunch, this is an all day experience for those passionate about food and produce. Starting with a guided market tour at Farm Gate Market, this experience takes fresh local produce back to Lumière Lodge for a hands on cooking class and lunch.

Dining experiences are only available to Lumière Lodge guests (visitors for the experiences are welcome) for groups of 2 to 8 guests. Bookings can be made through the Lumière Lodge website (contact form below).


About the space

Whether you are a cook, chef or romantisist the home’s traditional English kitchen is bound to impress. Lumière Lodge is equipped with a full range of features including top of the range Neff appliances, Thermomix, Big Bakers Oven and a deep trough overlooking a native fern garden.  Boasting a generous open plan space, the kitchen and dining area stretches beyond the bi-fold doors to a rambling cottage garden with flagstone courtyard. A character filled utility room adds another versatile space for guests to utilise while creating memories.

We don’t require you to be staying with us to make the most of our beautiful space, please get in touch for our hire fees.

Portfolio

Lilly has spent time working in restaurants (Garagistes, Franklin, Peg, Dier Makr, and Izakaya Temporary), private homes and luxury accommodations across Europe and Australia before returning to her home state of Tasmania where her passion and appreciation for produce, food and cooking began. 

Lilly was lucky enough to grow up in southern Tasmanian, a region now widely celebrated for its incredible produce and a lifestyle built around appreciating the bounty of nature. Growing up around this abundance instilled a deep love of food and an appreciation for fresh, locally grown produce that, from an early age, shaped her values around food. These foundations sing through Lilly's approach to food and cooking today, drawing on the abundance of her experiences from across the globe and unique local knowledge.

Lilly Trewartha has spent the last 12 years immersed in her career as a chef driven by a curiosity of the diversity of global food cultures and experiences. Lilly’s love for seeking local seasonal produce sings in each dish she creates. You can expect a fully encompassing experience in the comfort of this grand space with paired Tasmanian wines.


your experience will include

Lumière Lodge is a magical location for an intimate candlelight supper or as a creative space for one of a kind curated events. Traditions are simple here - long meals and late night whiskeys by the roaring fire.

Beeswax candles and an abundance of wild flora collected by weed wrangler extraordinaire, Eliza Rogers, are romantically scattered around the home and add a touch of elegance to your occassion. At night beautiful antique oil paintings, chandeliers and wall sconces create the perfect evening mood for entertaining. 


Past events

The below event was hosted by Pax Mondo Agency for Tas Trade, featuring an abundance of local winter produce curated by Chef, Lilly Trewartha. These moments have been beautifully captured by Dexter Kim & Dearna Bond at Lumière Lodge. The event catered for 20 guests featuring champagne on entry, roaming canapès and sit down dinning experience by the roaring fire.

All guests left merry, with full bellies and warm hearts.
